A 7 p.m. curfew will be in effect for all children under 18 not accompanied by an adult on Halloween night, as well as “Mischief Night” on Friday, Oct. 30. For a safe weekend, please remember the following:
• Keep exterior lights on throughout the night.
• Keep pets inside.
• Make sure your car is locked or in the garage.
• Watch for suspicious activity.
Let’s make this a happy and safe Halloween for all. For more information, contact Community Policing at (856) 432-8838.

Drop off expired medications at collection event Nov. 14
Between discarded medicine in tap water and widespread abuse of other peoples’ prescriptions for recreational use among our youth, proper disposal of medicine is an issue that needs to be addressed. That time is just around the corner, on Saturday, Nov. 14, when the state will host the first-in-the-nation medicine disposal day.
More than 250 police departments, including Cherry Hill, are participating in the event, inviting residents to anonymously drop off unused or expired prescriptions from10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cherry Hill Public Library (1100 Kings Hwy North). Our law enforcement officials will, in turn, dispose of these controlled substances in a safe and non-hazardous manner. If you have additional questions about this important initiative, call my office at (856) 488-7878.
