Imagine, you have been forced to stay in a place, which is totally new to you, and there is no way in which you can escape, for four years. How annoying and irritating it would be…? Would you believe me if I said that, I underwent such an experience and found that it was the most effervescent period of my life…? That is the high point of ‘life at hostel’. It would be unwise if I said that I thoroughly enjoyed my hostel life from day one. What with the, shabby rooms with poor maintenance, the food which was as bland as beige, the bed without a trace of any sleeping bags, hostel life was actually a hell in the beginning. But then, I gradually started to develop a liking towards the place. I had an opportunity to make a lot of friends and obviously, when you’re with them, even the most pathetic place turns into a palace. Starting from the secret late night entries into the hostel to celebrating ‘hostel day’ with all the inmates, I can never ever forget the fun times we had there. It was like a home away from home and I really wish I get a chance to live that life once again.
